Jini Park is a multidisciplinary artist working primarily in painting, screen printing, and mixed media. As a first-generation Korean immigrant, her practice is deeply rooted in exploring the complexities of cultural inheritance, identity, and the unbounded nature of human existence. Her work navigates the tension between tradition and modernity, personal history and collective experience, ultimately questioning the constraints that identity can impose. Park seeks to investigate what it means to exist in the purest human form—beyond imposed labels, societal constructs, and inherited expectations.

Park’s artistic inquiry stems from a lifelong negotiation between cultural displacement and self-definition. While her ancestry is an undeniable foundation, she is equally drawn to the possibility of an identity that is fluid, evolving, and unrestricted. Her layered compositions and experimental materiality reflect this duality, merging traditional Korean techniques with contemporary Western methodologies. By deconstructing identity as a rigid construct, Park aims to reimagine it as a space of freedom and limitless transformation.

Her work is an extension of a personal and collective healing journey—an exploration of how inherited narratives shape existence and how they can be transmuted into something fluid, expressive, and unconfined. Through her art, she seeks to liberate herself and others from the burdens of the past while honoring the histories that have shaped them. Park’s work invites viewers to embrace multiplicity, surrender to the unknown, and celebrate the expansiveness of human existence beyond predefined categories. By engaging with layered storytelling and experimental materiality, she creates a visual language that embodies both ancestral wisdom and the ever-shifting nature of identity.
